Continuous Curbing

The FG 300 Interstate Grade Curb System serves as an efficient solution for separating lanes and guiding traffic on various road types, including freeways, toll-ways, urban streets, and rail-highway crossings. This FHWA-approved, one-piece curb system functions as a passive traffic control device, composed of modular raised curb sections that can be easily mounted by emergency vehicles. It pairs with the robust FG 300 EFX uprights, renowned as the sturdiest channelizer posts in the market.

Key features of the FG 300 Interstate Grade Curb System include the creation of a distinctive picket fence effect, enhancing visual separation between lanes. The system requires minimal maintenance due to the use of super-tough poly-urethane upright posts. Notably, both the curb sections and upright posts have successfully undergone impact testing at speeds of up to 60 MPH (100 KPH). For enhanced nighttime visibility, an optional configuration of road studs in an arc formation is available.

Additionally, the curb sections are molded with consistent color throughout, eliminating the need for painting. Their internal radial rib structure ensures a remarkable load-bearing capacity of up to 10,000 pounds. Each curb section is equipped with four scuppers to facilitate efficient water drainage. Installation of the curb sections is quick and straightforward, achievable by a single person. The system’s versatile design allows for circular or curved installations, while its maintenance-free construction boasts no moving parts to replace and is entirely devoid of metal components.

Customers can enjoy peace of mind with a 5-year pro-rated warranty covering the curbs, and the entire system has undergone rigorous testing and received NCHRP 350 Approval, ensuring its reliability and performance.
